Prof. Ajoy Kumar Ghatak is an Indian physicist and the author of physics textbooks (previously at IIT Delhi). He has written over 170 research papers and more than 20 books. His undergraduate textbook on Optics has been translated into Chinese and Persian, while his monograph on Inhomogeneous Optical Waveguides has been translated into Chinese and Russian.
