Sovik Roy

Born in Silchar, Assam (Northeast India), Sovik Roy graduated with Mathematics Honours (including Physics and Statistics) from Assam University, Silchar. He pursued his postgraduate studies in Applied Mathematics at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and subsequently earned his Ph.D. in Quantum Information Processing from the Satyendra Nath National Centre for Basic Science and Research. Now an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Techno Main Salt Lake (private) Engineering College, Sector V, Kolkata, Dr. Roy brings 19 years of teaching experience to his role. An active researcher in Quantum Computing, he also engages in interdisciplinary collaborations, notably with the Food Technology Department, leveraging his statistical expertise. Beyond academia, he enjoys writing and has contributed to numerous magazines.
